Features & Compatibility

LT3780 module can automatically increase and decrease voltage, and the output voltage can remain stable and unchanged when the input voltage is lower than, higher than, or equal to the output voltage. For example, when setting the output to 12V and the input voltage varies between 5-32V, the output voltage remains stable at 12V; It has constant current, constant voltage, undervoltage protection, as well as output indication and fault indication functions. The output has overcurrent, overvoltage, and short-circuit protection; Can be applied to high-power LED drivers, equipment power supply, vehicle power supply, etc.

Product parameters:

Input voltage: DC 5-32V

Output voltage: DC1-30V adjustable

Output current: 8A, peak value 10A

Output power: 80W, peak value 130W. If it exceeds 80W, please strengthen heat dissipation

Input reverse protection: None. If necessary, please connect a diode in series at the output end

Output anti backflow: None. If charging is required, please connect a diode in series at the output end

Working temperature range: – 45~+85℃

Short circuit protection: Yes

usage method:

1. Adjustment method for battery undervoltage protection: (Taking the example of setting 10V undervoltage protection and turning off output for a 12V lead-acid battery)

Adjust the input voltage to 10V and adjust the undervoltage protection potentiometer (clockwise increase, counterclockwise decrease) until the fault indicator light (red light) lights up, indicating successful setting; When the battery is discharged to 10V, it will automatically cut off the power supply to protect the battery from damage.

Note: If it is not powered by a battery, no settings need to be made;

2. Output voltage adjustment method: Connect the input to the power supply (voltage higher than the undervoltage protection value), with the red light not on and the blue light on. Connect the output to a multimeter and adjust the output voltage potentiometer (clockwise increase, counterclockwise decrease) until the desired voltage is reached;

Note: Normally, the red light does not light up and the blue light lights up. Otherwise, there is a fault. Input undervoltage protection, output overcurrent protection, and output short circuit protection are required. Please troubleshoot and power on again.

3. Output current adjustment method: (Taking 12V input to charge a 12V lead-acid battery with a charging current of 5A as an example)

Connect the input to a 12V power supply, output and connect an ammeter (with the red probe connected to the positive output and the black probe connected to the negative output, short-circuit the output directly. It is recommended to use an ammeter with a current rating of 15A or higher to prevent fuse burnout), adjust the constant current potentiometer (increase clockwise and decrease counterclockwise) until the ammeter displays the desired value of 5A, remove the ammeter, and connect the battery to charge normally.

Note: If used for constant voltage equipment, only the maximum output current needs to be set.
